I have a set on my Legacy GT, they're relatively quiet, grippy in dry and wet conditions, good turn-in, firm but not harsh ride. I don't see any reason not to get them. I might get a set for my daily-driving set of wheels for my M3. I have been using RE-750 Bridgestones and like them as a general street tire here in Northern California with the wet winters. I don't want to spend a ton on new tires just to sell it, so RE-050A Pole Positions or Michelin PS2's are out of my budget. I could get a set of RE-750s for about $600 or so or a set of Kumho Ecsta MXs for about $550. What do y'all think is a good choice? Thanks, Steve

I ran them on my street car last year and was nothing short of impressed with them. Good in the wet, quiet ride wore well and they balanced quite easily. When in need for my next set of shoes they will be a serious consideration prior to stepping into the premium tire zone. #6. GC Swaybar - from kjk

Date: Thu, 7 Feb 2008 14:11:53 -0800 (PST) From: kjk <quierom5@yahoo.com> Subject: GC Swaybar The '95 M3 I bought has a GC swaybar up front and it is noisy as ****. The frame bushings were worn and I replaced those but it still makes a ton of noise. I did note that the Energy bushings supplied by GC are not the OEM circular type and leave a bit of a gap between the bushing the frame. That bothers me and I was wondering if, for example, I could use a 27mm Racing Dynamics bushing that it the same shape as the stock one. Even with the frame bushings tight, it seems the endlinks have play but they don't seem noticeably worn. Does this just go with the territory or is there a fix? I want a quiet swaybar. Awesome tires in dry or wet. Even with full tread they do very well at DEs. They don't seem to mind the abuse and are very responsive. I think you may have driven my car years ago at Summit Point when I had my first set and, if that was you, you really liked them. It was one of the NCC instructors - memory is fuzzy but seems like it was when I had you for an instructor. The Goodyears don't do so great full tread on the track, at least not on my brother's S4 for what that's worth. The long v-shaped blocks squirmed all around and tore themselves up. Being an Audi and my brother's second or third DE it understeered like crazy which didn't help. YMMV. Goodyears are probably better in a lot of rain than the Michelins. No experience with Neovas. marty '96 M3 '95 540i On Feb 7, 2008, at 3:59 PM, Marc Plante wrote: > Date: Thu, 7 Feb 2008 15:56:34 -0500 > From: "Marc Plante" <marcva@gmail.com> > Subject: Re: [E36M3] Another round of Tire talk. > > While we're talking tires. The Neova is really a race tire, in the almost-an-R-compound category. It would probably blow away the other 2 on your list in the dry. It's stiff and somewhat loud. It absolutely cannot be used (or even be exposed to) below freezing temps. They'll get heat-cycled into rocks before you ever wear them out on the street. They tend to run wide, like R-comps, too. I love them. :-) Paul Andrews 98 M3/4 # 42 STU -----Original Message----- From: Marc Plante [mailto:marcva@gmail.com] Sent: Thursday, February 07, 2008 4:00 PM To: E36M3 Subject: Re: [E36M3] Another round of Tire talk.
