The true criminal masterminds never take the fall themselves. That's why they have minions! Locally we have a ticket diversion program, which means that you cough up $200. If you have no other moving violations within 12 months, the first one and its points disappear. Or so I've heard... Neil 96 M3

No limit on the number of times that you can use it either as far as I know. I've also had good luck with traffic court (officer no-show). Lucky part actually happened about a month after I got the ticket when I ran into him at a Kinkos around midnight and he agreed not to show. Interesting story actually. Same cop also told me about the diversion program as he was giving me a ticket, although I had already used it by then. I must have pretty good luck since I've been pulled over and not given a ticket many more times than I've actually been given one. Knock on wood. How lucky you ask? How about pulled over speeding in Ohio (that alone is enough) on a Friday night in a construction zone. I don't recall exactly how far over the limit I was, but I was going AT LEAST 10mph over the normal posted limit. I was on my way to Mid Ohio for a DE. The M3 was loaded with tools and tires (in black plastic bags). I wasn't wearing a seatbelt and the V1 was on the visor. The officer searched the car, including the trunk, opening tool boxes etc., and let me go with a verbal warning. My buddy Simon was following me at the time and he couldn't believe it, especially since I don't think he's ever received a warning (plenty of tickets though :). I couldn't believe it either. Knock on wood again. Mike No tickets since maybe 1992, at least none that have stuck. > Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2008 14:27:26 -0500 > From: Neil Maller <neil.maller@gte.net> > Subject: Re: California traffic school options > > > Locally we have a ticket diversion program, which means that you cough up > $200. Has anyone here used them? I had been planning on buying the offset powerflex bushings. These UUC ones are $100 more expensive, so they must provide something worthwhile? I am guessing that it is just the fact that they are supposed to be quieter and reduce the NVH, which is not worth $100 to me. I'd appreciate any thoughts from the crowd. Best, Matthew

You would need to swap out a few parts to you could run the 'non-offset' style in order to use the UUC bushings and that requires new arms and strut mounts (I think that's all). Dave

Date: Wed, 13 Feb 2008 21:20:35 EST From: Shelhart2@aol.com Subject: Oil temp sender pn? I installed the 3 gauge set and need a part number for the oil temp sender. I bought them from Skip and received the oil pressure sender and JTD block but don't have the temp sender. Skip said it was an M5 sender. By the way, Skip is a great lister and made a nice wiring harness for the unit :) Anyone know what the pn is?
