It works to remove the smell of gasoline, which is nastier but doesn't have the implications of latex... _________________________________________________________________ Helping your favorite cause is as easy as instant messaging. Date: Fri, 14 Mar 2008 14:06:58 -0400 From: <Vikas.Sinha@zf.com> Subject: RE: [E36M3] Will this tire fit? I run 245/40-17 RE-01Rs on 8.5" LTWs all around, no spacers. Car is lowered slightly on H&R OE Sport springs and Koni SAs. No rubbing issues anywhere. They fit just fine. I've never autocrossed on the RE-01Rs, but they do very well on the track (I'm an intermediate DE student, for frame of reference). I'm very pleased with them as a street tire as well, but they do tramline more than I'd like. Based on Tire Rack testing/reviews, I'm going to try the Dunlop Direzza on another car this spring. While every tire of the same "size" is slightly different, they should fit. I've run 4-5 different 245/40/17 tires up front, on stock 8.5" wheels with no spacers and no problems. The 8" wheels you plan to use should be fine, just check the offset - it should be close to the stock 41. Jim Bassett

I replaced the radiator about 40-50K back. 40-50K is pretty close to changing time again. Being the kind of person I am, I'd like everything to have the same "replacement time" <shrug>. I'd do everything cooling system related, including the rad, thermo, pump. Then again, if you had my "luck", you'd realize this is just a good idea, because whatever component you don't replace now will fail withing a month and you'll be doing it all over again :-) > I can pretty much go to the dealer to identify and pick up the parts but > if > anyone has the PN#s handy, that would be great. Realoem.com works OK, if you don't have your ETK handy. My 2 cents, Jim Bassett

Very nice to drive, but everything is packed in there tight, very intricate and tough to work on. For various reasons which don't need to be discussed, I need it disabled instead of turned off. For E36 (1998 M3/4) traction control, does the computer do anything except modulate the throttle body? If it isn't retarding spark, I'll just pull the plug on the ASC. On Fri, Mar 14, 2008 at 1:55 PM, Kent L. Shephard <e36m3@kshephard.com> wrote: > Why no just use the dash switch?
